Made in New Orleans
Crystal Hot Sauce
Crystal Hot Sauce was first introduced in 1923 by Baumer
Foods which was founded by Alvin and Mildred Baumer on Tchoupitoulas Street in New Orleans. Today, Alvin A. Baumer, Jr., their
son, carries on the business, still personally inspecting the pepper fields prior to harvest to make sure each cayenne is
hand-picked at its sun-ripened best.
Every year over 3 million gallons of Crystal Hot Sauce are shipped out of
our Louisiana plant to destinations domestically and in over 20 countries across the world.
New Orleanians use
hot sauce incorporated into recipes, on po-boys, on fried seafood, in seafood cocktails, and on just about any lunch or supper
dish. The Original Crystal Sauce is blend of aged hot peppers and spices. A Louisiana favorite that is made with fresh cayenne peppers. The Original Crystal Sauce blend of hot peppers
and spices adds zest to shrimp, oysters and other seafood, pork ribs, chips, barbecue, steak, poultry, cold platters and more. |
