 Leon Roppolo is remembered
as a pioneer of the jazz solo. At about age eleven he began performing on the New Orleans lakeshore and in Bucktown. His New
Orleans Rhythm Kings (also known as the Friars Society Orchestra) recorded Milenburg Joys in 1923. Pictured here are Leon
