the existing structures of the French Market and demolition of the wholesale fish market. Two new buildings--the
Halles des Cuisines and a new Red Stores complex.

Corporation administered the first major renovations since work done by the Public Works Administration in the 1930s, historically reconstructing portions of the old market and converting the
open stalls into retail shops and boutiques.
