in 1972 in order to take the job as Project Manager for the renovation project.The Morning Call Coffee Stand, unfortunately,
did not survive the project, and moved to Metairie later in the 1970s. Decatur,

Corporation administered the first major renovations since work done by the Public Works Administration in the 1930s, historically reconstructing portions of the old market and converting the
open stalls into retail shops and boutiques. Farmers'
Market was dedicated on April 1, 1975. New French Market parking lot in 1977 Decatur, 820
