Less than a mile west of Dorignac’s was Meydrich’s Fine Foods at 1405 Veteran's Highway on the corner of
Homestead Avenue (this is now the location of C’s pharmacy). The grocer also operated Meydrich’s Venice Gardens
Super Food Market on South Claiborne Avenue when the photograph below was taken in 1967 of workers in the canal.
