Before there was the Do Drive-In there was Gonzales
Motors, a Ford dealership, shown in this 1949 photograph, which was located at 801 Metairie Road and was operated by Sidney
J. Gonzales, Sidney Jr., George B. Benoist, and Acy A. Chiason. This later became Metairie Motor Sales and Metairie Ford.
